So, I realized I never update here and frankly, for as awesome as that Green Arrow Deviant ID is, I need to change things up and show off some pics of my new cosplays. I recently completed my X-Men First Class Magneto and am damn proud of it so be ready to see some pics up here soon.

LOL I wonder if the only real reason I never posted that cosplay or any others on here is, really, none of the pictures were actually mine. I always give credit and if I don't know who did it then it doesn't go up but I'm thinking my mindset was it was just easier to not even bother since most of my close buds see them all on my facebook anyway.

My comic version and movie version of Bucky Barnes is also underway and when this is done let me tell you it is going to rock.

I've realized there have been a lot of cosplays I've done but nothing so note worthy and so perfect that I might actually stand a chance of being remembered by con goers for an outfit.

My cosplay wants are kind of winding down. There just aren't that many characters (at least right now) that I want to bother cosplaying and put the money towards. I really want to take a break at some point so I can really get my life in better order. I have the great office job with awesome benefits lol but now I need to (at least ((again)) right now) put the toys away for a little while. I mean my Fiancee and I really would love to get married some time this century.

But before I put the toys away, I decided I'm going to invest in a few amazing costumes of some of my favorite characters and just improve on them constantly and run with them for a while. Go out with a bang.

My main cosplay will be movie version and comic version Bucky and my back up costume is First Class Magneto.

Funny because Magneto was done first, thus the whole idea of that cosplay being back up.

Really I don't know when ole Buck will be done but this time I am not worrying about dead lines because no matter what these three costumes in my mind need to be perfect. I really want all of them as awesome as I can make them.

I'm looking for film version Buck to be finished by the time Avengers is out and maaaaybe comic version as well but I was just able to get a hold of my blue buccaneer boots so that may take some time.

Wouldn't it be so funny if I ended up with perfect costumes but put so much into them that I had no time (or money) for conventions? :D

Hey, Matt, it's Elvin from NYCC. Sorry it's taken me so long to write you back. I've just been crazy busy the last couple of months, and am only now getting back into my correspondence. Just wanted to say that it was great meeting you and hope to see you in future cons. Keep in touch, sir!

You are quite welcome. Told ya I would :) I really love reading your journal entries on Roy and Lian. You are very passionate and have some fantastic insights into the characters and the fans. What do you think of Roy as Red Arrow in the Young Justice animated series?

Initially peeved that they were putting Roy in the direction of a know-nothing know it all who demanded respect and thought his friends were being played for fools with this team. That opinion pleasantly changed with Artemis' debut episode.

But if you want someone who's got a deeper insight into Roy and Lian, check out LevyRasputin's artwork. She did this for me:

And I've already written a bunch of stories inspired from her art.

Cool Thanks! I can't wait to see her stuff. YJ was something that I heard a lot of people were iffy with but i kept telling them it was an alternate earth. Then again I kind of wish DC would stop with that excuse cause the animated series can always be their own thing. I'm not sure if I like them always using that excuse to appease certain people. BUT, the more I think about it with the iffy fans of the show I suppose maybe they sometimes have to. I think the biggest complaint from most was Tim Drake essentially being Dick Grayson. When you watch the show it is so Tim Drake as Robin.

Thank you very much :) Your piece was pretty awesome. Yeah I'm a huge Cap and Bucky fan. I was happy to see a good amount of fan art of them on DA. Might even do a cosplay of Buck one day.

It'll be nice soon to have Steve back as Cap! And if you haven't checked him out you could check Clayton Henry on DA he's also got some fantastic Cap stuff!

Oh? I'm familiar with Clayton but didn't know he was on DA. Steve will always be Cap to me, I guess I just really like Bucky though. My favorite era of Steve as Cap is either him in the War or when he first wakes up in the present. Even if Steve's been in the Marvel U present long enough to use a cel phone, when I see him do it, it still feels wrong to me. LOL

One of the reasons I liked Bucky Cap so much was, besides his great back story, which was really rich an interesting, he has this similar kind of unsure nature with the present. He was unfrozen many times over the years yet knows only bits and pieces about the present. His army brat mindset comes thru more and more which I also love.
